The Amazing Monjeau does it again!
Report from IAOBA Riverside AlpacaFest 2008
Enchantment’s Monjeau (ARI #835061), our stunning 6-time Color Champion, took home another First Place from the IAOBA Riverside the weekend of April 11! There were only four alpacas in his class (he is nearly 8 years old), but Judge Tim Lavan stopped the entire show so that everyone could hear his comments about Monjeau. Among other things, he said that Monjeau was the most conformationally perfect of any animal he had judged that day – the fineness of his fleece and the uniformity of crimp, tremendous density and soft handle were truly amazing for an animal his age. He recommended Monjeau as The Herdsire to add these qualities to any farm’s breeding program. It was a wonderful tribute to Monjeau, whose 72% female offspring continue to be outstanding! And his breeding fee remains only $1000 through the end of 2008.
