Vet of Record at Diamond Triple C
Dr. Ed Gilsleider
We'd like to introduce our vet of record in Oklahoma, Dr. Ed Gilsleider. Dr. Gilsleider is a leader in camelid surgery, medicine, and reproduction. His practice uses the most recent technology, with equipment such as digital radiography, a surgical laser, diagnostic ultrasound and endoscopy, and sterile small animal and large animal surgical suites.
Dr. Gilsleider graduated from Kansas State University in 1978 with a bachelor's degree in Agriculture/Animal Science. In 1982, he received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, also from Kansas State. Dr. Gilsleider is a published author of numerous articles in lay journals, veterinary journals, and texts. He has lectured to veterinarians across America and abroad. Dr. Gilsleider has pioneered several orthopedic procedures to correct leg deformities in ratites (ostriches, emu, and rhea). These techniques he now uses widely in many other species, including equine, camelid, canine, and feline.
While active in sports during high school, college and post-college, Dr. Gilsleider's life-long goal was always to become a veterinarian. Today, however, he is able to coach varsity teams, and serves as athletic director of Claremore Christian School. Dr. Gilsleider is also a board member of Tri-County C.A.S.A, Birthright, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, a member of the Claremore Chamber of Commerce, and a deacon in his church. Dr. Gilsleider and his wife Lisa are the parents of four children.
