EasterEgg, that rarest of computer programmed surprises, was (of course) born on Easter! Sire, Peruvian Optimum, is out of the famous Peruvian Macusani; Dam, Enchantment's Jicarilla, is a true black Royal Fawn granddaughter, with Dom Lucilio as her sire. Easter Egg is a medium fawn, but there is a tremendous amount of grey, silver grey and true black in her genetic makeup.

Peruvian Macusani
Macusani resides at Evergreen Elegant Alpacas with Linda and Gary Grimes, and they say “Macusani is still going strong, still throwing greys and is still the alpaca visitors ask ‘Who is that wonderful male standing in your field?’ He has thrown grey, black or rose grey when [he has] been breed to those colors. Over 60% grey, black and rose grey when bred to any color.” Macusani was born in 1992 and remains an incredible herdsire.
Dom Lucilio
Dom Lucilio is the son of two of the most highly regarded gene pools in South America. His famous sire, Accoyo Royal Fawn, has a history of passing on his fine-fibered genetics to his offspring. With the best of both worlds in his lineage, this American-born herdsire has offspring dominating show rings from coast to coast in every color group. As of the end of 2006, Dom Lucilio offspring had won more than 75 blue and championship ribbons. He is owned by Ernie Kellogg at Double “O” Good Alpacas. |
